Information we handle

Information you provide

• Booking inquiries: your name, email address or telephone number, event date, city, event category, event details, preferred language, and submission time.
• Mailing list: your email address, optional first and last name, optional Bay Area region, preferred language, signup source, and signup or update time.
• Show reminders: your email address, the selected show, preferred language, whether you also chose the mailing list, and request or update time.
• Direct messages: the address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to send when you email us, including about a musician opening.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information, payment-card information, health information, government identifiers, or information about another person unless you are authorized to provide it and it is reasonably needed for your request.

Information handled automatically

Our hosting and security systems may process routine technical records such as IP address, request time, requested page, referring page, browser or device information, and error details. The Site also uses an IP address temporarily for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

The Site stores your language preference in an essential cookie for up to one year. If Meta Pixel is available, it stores your tracking choice in your browser until you change or clear it and may temporarily store a limited pending event label and allowlisted public parameters in your browser tab until they can be processed or discarded. Form values are not stored there.

Meta Pixel and online tracking

Meta Pixel is optional and remains off unless you select Allow tracking. If allowed, Meta Platforms, Inc. may use cookies, web beacons, device or browser identifiers, IP address, and similar storage technologies to receive information from this Site and elsewhere on the internet. Meta may use that information to provide measurement and analytics, build advertising audiences, target and deliver ads, protect its services, and improve its products.

Events we configure may describe a page visit; the audience journey and page or content viewed; interaction with a booking, mailing-list, reminder, or musician-inquiry control; and a completed booking inquiry, mailing-list signup, or show-reminder request. Limited labels such as language, event category, musician role, or public show identifier may accompany an event. The Pixel events configured in our Site code do not include the name, email address, telephone number, message, or other text you enter in a form.

Meta may combine activity received from this Site with information from other businesses and Meta products, whether or not you are logged into a Meta account. Meta handles that information under its Privacy Policy. You may also manage future activity off Meta technologies and use the advertising industry’s opt-out tool.

You can select Use essential only before Meta loads or reopen Tracking choices in the footer at any time. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal keeps Meta Pixel off while that signal is active. Because “Do Not Track” is not a uniform standard, the Site does not respond separately to DNT signals. Other parties, including Meta and the privacy-enhanced YouTube player, may receive technical information when their services are enabled or embedded as described here.

How we use information

• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
• respond to booking questions and musician inquiries;
• maintain the mailing list and send requested show information or reminders;
• measure site and advertising performance and personalize advertising when you allow Meta Pixel;
• prevent abuse, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, and comply with law; and
• maintain business records and resolve disputes.

When information may be disclosed

Information may be handled by providers that host and secure the Site, deliver forms to our private systems, store audience records, or provide email and communication services. Meta receives Pixel event and technical data only after tracking is allowed. On pages with embedded videos, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player receives a technical request, including network and browser information, when the player loads—even before you press play. Ticket sellers, venues, social networks, streaming services, email applications, and other sites you choose to visit handle information under their own policies.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, property, safety, or the integrity of the Site; investigate misuse; obtain professional advice; or complete a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Allowing Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing,” targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under some privacy laws. The controls described above let you prevent or stop that Site-level disclosure.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including responding to inquiries, maintaining a subscription or reminder request, preserving business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Timing varies by record: after you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal email suppression record so we continue honoring that choice; reminder, booking, email, security, and server records follow their operational, event, or legal need and any routine backup or log rotation. Meta and other third parties apply their own retention rules.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including private server-side storage and restricted form destinations. No transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use care with what you send.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the instructions in a message or by contacting us. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or exercise another right available under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity or authority and may retain information when permitted or required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

To make a request, email info@guajiron.com with the subject “Privacy request.” If an applicable law provides an appeal right, you may use the same address and state that you are appealing our response.

Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Visitors under 13 must not submit personal information or enable Meta tracking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 or knowingly send information about such a child to Meta. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us to request deletion.

Location and policy changes

We operate in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or another place where a provider operates, where privacy protections may differ from those in your location.

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and, when appropriate, provide an additional notice on the Site or by email before a material change takes effect.
